Customer Service Representative

Support and facilitate circulation customer needs and complaints.
Work as a liaison between carriers, district managers and the circulation department.
General office duties are assigned as needed.
Essential Functions:
o Communicate with customers, carriers and district managers in a daily deadline environment o Maintain accurate records of customer complaints/requests and provides information to delivery team o Directly contribute to the resolution of customer complaints o Responsible for answering multi-line phones and taking messages o Greet walk-in customers and assist o Post subscriber and A/R payments o Calculate ad percentages o Manage obituary changeRequirements:
Experience:
1-3 years of customer service experience, some accounting experience preferred Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Ability to work with customers in person and on the phone o Ability to work under daily deadlines o Must be proficient with using a computer and various software programs, able to learn new software o Computer knowledge for data base operation and general office applications o Ability to handle multi-line phone system and take accurate messages o Ability to talk on the phone and keyboard at the same time o Ability to multi-task, with strong organization skills o Ability to work independently and manage time wisely o Ability to handle cash and balance a cash drawer o Excellent communications skills verbal and written o Ability to work with people and deliver memorable customer service o Ability to work in a team environment and communicate knowledge and shared goals Education:
o High School diploma or GED o Some college preferred Working Conditions:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
