Description / Requirements
General Description:
1. Oversee repair, including scheduling, deadlines, work orders and communications with production needs.
2. Oversee all die repair related issues in tool room including, questions, problems and troubleshooting.
3. Oversee all ordering of tool room supplies, steels & components including rebuild items.
4. Oversee documentation and accounting needs for ordering, such as PO s, expense log and EPM.
5. Oversee all shipping needs in and out of the tool room.
6. Oversee all training of tool room Repairmen and or Tool & Die Makers.
7. Oversee all movement of tools through our SAP system.
8. Participate in meetings that involve tooling related issues throughout the plant.
9. Assist in the absence of the Tool Room Supervisor.
10. Assist with handling personnel in the tool room such as, reviews, performance issues and discipline issues.
o High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
o Associate degree or apprenticeship in Tool & Die.
o 5 years of experience minimum as tool & die maker in a manufacturing environment is required.
o Ability to read blueprints
o The understanding of close tolerances as little as 0.0005 inch.
o Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
o Knowledge concerning mechanical principle, machining practices, the properties of metals and application of mathematics and dimensions to precision machining and stamping
o Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction
o Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
o Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from a management, team members, suppliers and customers
o Team work / collaborative style
o Computer skills-MS Office, VAX & Asset Tracking System.
o Work overtime and travel as required.
o Able to work under pressure of meeting schedules, production deadlines, and managing multiple priorities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
