5 Paid Holidays 2 Weeks Institutional Closing Pay (Last 2 weeks of December) for qualifying positions Employee Assistance Program Job Summary This is a ten-month, faculty appointment in the Advanced Manufacturing Division.
The primary teaching assignment location will be the BCTC Danville Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) Campus.
However, faculty are required to teach at other BCTC campus locations when there is an existing need.
The position requires flexibility of scheduling which could include teaching at various campus locations and during evening and weekends.
Job Duties:
Provide classroom, online, and laboratory instruction related to Industrial/Manufacturing Maintenance Environment technologies specifically to include Electrical Theory and Concepts, Electric Motor Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Maintaining Industrial Equipment, and robotics.
Additionally, teaching content for other technical areas could be required as the need arises.
Prepare lesson plans, maintains records, and reports on student attainment and progress.
Student Advising.
Participation in Professional Development Activities.
Fulfill college internal and external service expectations.
Develop and maintain working relationship with local industry(s).
Student recruitment.
Commitment to teamwork.
Set example of appropriate dress and professional behaviors for students.
Enforce high expectations related to safety, student dress, and professional behaviors including punctuality - respect for leadership - teamwork - written and verbal communication skills.
Maintain order and discipline in the teaching/learning environment.
Understand and implement workplace organization (5s) standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Associates Degree AND Four (4) years of work experience in the teaching discipline or related field.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in the Industrial Maintenance Technology teaching discipline or related field.
AND Two (2+) years of work experience in the teaching discipline or related field.
Additional Skills Requested:
The successful candidate should possess excellent computer, communication, and presentation skills in order to develop and deliver on-site and online program-related material along with in-person laboratory experiences.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
